LENEXA, Kan. (March 7th, 2017)—HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced it is finalizing the purchase of a $24 million, 515,000 square foot (sq. ft.) industrial building in Olathe, Kan. Located at the corner of 167th Street and Lone Elm Road, the building will become the firm’s new corporate headquarters when it opens (tentatively slated for September 2017). All operations—from design, engineering and manufacturing to sales and support—will be housed within the new facility, including production of the firm’s upcoming, newly designed and engineered, Tier 4 Final-compliant portable generators.

“With corporate ties to both Spain (Himoinsa, S.L.) and Japan (YANMAR Co. Ltd), we could have built this factory anywhere in the world, but HIPOWER SYSTEMS is fully committed to maintaining our Made in the USA approach,” said HIPOWER SYSTEMS President Rafael Acosta. “Our U.S. expansion provides capacity for production of our new Tier 4 Final portable line and high-capacity, MTU Detroit Diesel and Waukesha natural gas-powered gensets. We will also be able to manufacture generators for Western Hemisphere countries, such as those in Mexico and South America, that require 60 Hz power—all while helping grow America’s economic base and workforce.”

In the first year alone, HIPOWER SYSTEMS will make a multi-million-dollar investment in building improvements, which is nearly five times the size of its current facility. It will also purchase and install at least $11 million in high-tech machinery to support its specialized engineering and manufacturing processes. After beginning operations with approximately 40 workers, the new plant will accommodate anticipated workforce growth of up to 75 additional employees over the next few years.

“We have always envisioned constructing a fully independent ‘super factory’ in North America, where engineering and manufacturing processes would utilize the most high-tech equipment available,” said Acosta. “Thanks to the support of the Olathe City Council and the state of Kansas, we are able to construct one of the world’s most innovation-driven manufacturing plants in the state—and even the same area—where we made our first U.S. generator sale.”

Las Vegas, NV and Lenexa, KS (February 13, 2017)—HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power-generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced it will be showcasing its portable generators and other equipment at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, March 7-11, 2017 in Las Vegas. The company’s exhibit will be at Booth B8205 in the Bronze Lot, which is located on the south end of the Convention Center adjacent to South Road.

The display will include diesel generators with engines from John Deere and Yanmar, as well as one of HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ clean-burning, energy efficient Waukesha natural gas generators.

“For construction-related industries, from mining to utilities and beyond, dependability and longevity of power supply is paramount,” said HIPOWER SYSTEMS President Rafael Acosta. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to showcase our top-quality, field-proven equipment for the benefit of attendees.”

Although HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ parent firm, HIMOINSA, entered the U.S. market barely a decade ago, the company’s equipment has already gained a stellar reputation for being reliable in the harshest of conditions, with designs that facilitate easy maintenance, portability, parallel configurations, and other high-demand features.

“As a leading global manufacturer, HIPOWER SYSTEMS offers a full line of power products—from prime portable power systems and industrial standby generators to power distribution equipment, cables and accessories—something for everyone at this show” said Josh Mosko, HIPOWER SYSTEMS VP of Sales & Marketing. “We look forward to speaking with clients and attendees to discuss how we can add value and engineer a solution to meet their needs and the needs of their customers with reliable, quality equipment.”

For the show, the company selected generators in a broad range of power ratings, from 40 to 408 KW. All are powered by radiator-cooled, EPA-compliant* industrial engines driving a four-pole, three-phase alternator with IP23 protection. Display models are built with HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ industry-leading enclosures, which feature compact footprints, sound dampening, oil-resistant, washable rock-wool insulation, watertight, easy-access doors, and convenient power distribution panels with Camlok connectors and receptacles. All are also NEMA 3R and/or NEMA 4X, UL50 rated, making them perfectly suited to the rigors of outdoor usage.

HIPOWER SYSTEMS Debuts Zenith Powered Generator for Specialized Oil and Gas Applications

hrng-95-t6-portable-natural-gas-generator

Lenexa, KS (July 13, 2016)—HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power-generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced the debut of the HRNG 95 T6, the company’s newest gaseous generator. Powered by a long-life, heavy-duty engine from world-renowned manufacturer Zenith, the generator is capable of full rated-load acceptance in one step. Designed specifically to power new, more efficient oil and gas industry pumps and other equipment, the HRNG 95 T6 can run on both natural gas and liquid propane, switching from one to the other based on fuel availability.

“The HRNG 95 T6 offers the fuel efficiency and operating flexibility that oil and gas companies seek with maximum reliability and durability,” said HIPOWER SYSTEMS President Rafael Acosta. “Such features as dual-fuel capability and an optional gas scrubber will be especially attractive to them.”

For the enclosure, HIPOWER SYSTEMS chose one of its existing models, which has already been thoroughly field-tested in a variety of environments. The fully sound-attenuated enclosure is fabricated in 11-gauge steel with a powder coated finish that exceeds 1000-hr salt spray test. The enclosure also features wide, lockable steel access doors with rubber seals for easy maintenance and service.

To meet the control demands of remote oil and gas sites, HIPOWER SYSTEMS chose the DSE 7310 controller, a digital control panel with manual and automatic start and stop features, programmable automatic functions and local and remote control.

Options for the HRNG 95 T6 are varied and include:

• Gas scrubbing add-on that is free-standing for optimal delivery and operating flexibility;

• Rotary voltage selector switch;

• Built-in power distribution panel;

• Extra heavy-duty sub base;

• DOT certified towing trailer;

• Interior lights;

• Alternator anti-condensation heaters;

• Winterization kit for low ambient temperature;

• Component heaters (engine block and/or control panel);

• Electric actuator and louvers for air intake and exhaust;

• Snow hoods for air intake and exhaust.

“The oil and gas industry has long been one of our primary markets, and we are committed to responding quickly as they adapt to changing economic conditions,” said Acosta. “For the HRNG 95 T6, we made a special effort to incorporate features that are important to oilfield operators at the present time.”
